A true small business wonder woman, Godwyn Morris is the director and founder of both Dazzling Discoveries and Skill Mill NYC. Focused on creation and engineering, Dazzling Discoveries is a STEM Education Center for children, teens and adults, while Skill Mill NYC acts as one of the neighborhood’s only makerspaces. For 20 years, she has been providing community members with education tools and resources fostering creativity and innovation.

When asked about what makes her a small business wonder woman, Godwyn points to the trajectory of how she has grown her business over the years: “What began as a small after-school program has grown into two storefront locations, partnerships with dozens of schools, a year-round STEM camp for kids and teens, and two product lines, Dazzlinks cardboard engineering kits and Engineering with Paper downloadable packets. Nearly two decades later, Dazzling Discoveries and Skill Mill NYC has established itself as a unique resource for bringing hands-on learning into homes and classrooms through accessible and affordable projects”. She is committed to making her products and services both accessible and affordable, and her business is truly a foundational cornerstone of the community that attracts and brings together instructors and classes for unique experiences. Godwyn loves working with children, and has found one of the greatest joys in her business to be the joy she sees on children’s faces when they participate in her camps or use her products.
